Seven weeks after launch, an HVAC company in Broken Arrow had tripled its map coverage

Okla-Home Heating and Cooling is an HVAC contractor in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, serving the Tulsa metro. Upward Bound Media launched the Okla-Home Heating and Cooling website on 5 November 2025.

Upward Bound Media launched the Okla-Home Heating and Cooling website on 5 November 2025. Seven weeks later the company held top three map results at 23 of 49 measured locations, up from 8. Calls from the Google Business Profile rose 229.6 percent year over year.

Upward Bound Media recorded a baseline grid reading on 30 September 2025, five weeks before the work started. Upward Bound Media measures 49 grid points across the Tulsa metro every week, so every number on this page has a before behind it.

    Furnace repair, three measurements

This page follows three of the five search terms tracked on this grid. Furnace repair came first because it was the first segment worked and it has the longest record.

36 of 49 in the top three, and 24 of them are first place.

green = positions 1 to 3, orange = positions 4 to 10, red = position 11 or worse or no result.

Okla-Home Heating and Cooling reached the top three map results at 23 of 49 measured locations within seven weeks of launch. Okla-Home Heating and Cooling holds the first place map result at 24 of 49 measured locations for furnace repair.

This grid does not show the whole business. Okla-Home ranks well beyond its edges to the east, north and south. The grid sits over the western side on purpose, because that is the contested line being pushed toward Tulsa.

Okla-Home's Google Business Profile performance screen, unedited.

Calls from the Okla-Home Heating and Cooling Google Business Profile rose 229.6 percent year over year. April through August 2025 sits entirely before this engagement began, so the comparison is the same five months of the year with cooling season on both sides.

Two things this figure is not. Revenue is not published for clients, and what a call is worth depends on the business behind the phone. It also counts only calls placed directly from the Google profile, so it undercounts the work rather than flattering it.

Who they passed on the way

Okla-Home has 168 Google reviews. The companies they now rank ahead of have thousands.

    What we did, in order

5 November 2025: launch, pointed at furnace repair

The Mirror Strategy is a local SEO website framework built from verified Google Business Profile data. The build ships the complete structure at launch, so every service the business offers gets its pages, not just the season being worked.

Work started on furnace repair, getting those pages indexed and crawled. Once Google began picking them up the Google Business Profile primary category was changed to furnace repair and the profile was fully optimized, then Google recrawled. From there it was monitoring what indexed, watching what ranked, and adjusting internal linking and wording off that data. Alongside it, local and major citations were built pointing at the business, all reinforcing the same thing the profile now said.

The Okla-Home Heating and Cooling homepage shown on a desktop browser, a tablet and a phone
The site we launched, on desktop, tablet and phone. It reads air conditioning today because the hero and the primary calls to action get re-pointed at whichever season we are working. Through the winter this same page led with furnace repair. That swap is the mechanic, not a redesign.

December to February: the winter that did not come

Coverage climbed fast and then flattened. That plateau was not the work stalling. Oklahoma did not get a winter in 2025, the grass never really died, and there was about one solid week of cold in January. No cold means no furnace calls, and no calls means none of the customer signals Google leans on to decide who is actually busy serving an area.

February: switched to air conditioning, early and on purpose

Right after that one cold week the focus moved. Okla-Home was not ranking well for air conditioning repair and the competition around Tulsa is fierce, so instead of waiting for spring we took the head start. The website changed focus first. Only once that was in place did the profile category change to air conditioning repair service and the citations get reworked, then Google indexed it all.

    Now: pushing the western line

The eastern two thirds of the grid is settled. The work now is geographical relevance pages aimed at the western column, moving the line toward Tulsa a mile at a time.

The second season, and what it proves

    Baseline, 30 Sep 2025

Search grid for AC repair on 30 September 2025, almost entirely red with dashes at over twenty points indicating no result at all
24 of 49 points returned nothing. One point in the top three.

The same grid on 23 February 2026, mostly orange markers in the 4 to 8 range with only three dashes left in the far west
Five blank points left, 33 in the top ten. From the build alone.

    In season, 14 Sep 2026

The same grid on 14 September 2026 with green markers through the centre and east
Green through the centre and east, once the site, category and citations were re-pointed.

The build alone did most of it

Okla-Home's air conditioning pages went live on 5 November with everything else, and Google began indexing them alongside the furnace pages. From launch through February, nothing further was aimed at air conditioning. No category change, no citation rework, no rewritten hero, no ongoing tuning. In that window air conditioning repair went from 10 of 49 points in the top ten, with 24 points blank, to 33 of 49 with only five blank.

That is the build on its own, with no additional effort applied to that term. It is the reason we say that if a contractor only ever does one thing, it should be this one.

And furnace repair kept climbing the whole time

From February onward, nothing was aimed at furnace repair. Its first place coverage went from 1 point to 24 anyway. That is not rankings being sticky. More service pages were added through spring and summer, then geographical pages pushing west. Every page added that way makes the site more complete about what this business does and where it does it, which is what topical relevance means in practice.

Google does not weigh the furnace page on its own. Google weighs the business. The furnace side climbed on work that was never about furnaces.

    Both segments, one picture

Neither line gives back what it gained when the focus leaves it. The orange line climbs before anything is pointed at it, because the build put those pages there on day one. The blue line keeps climbing after the focus moves away, because the structure underneath it kept growing.

Furnace repair and AC repair top three coverage across both seasonal blocksFurnace repair top three coverage climbs from 8 to 36 of 49 grid points and keeps rising after focus moves to air conditioning in February. AC repair climbs slowly from 1 to 5 while furnace is the focus, then rises into the teens and twenties once focus moves to it.POINTED AT FURNACEPOINTED AT AIR CONDITIONING0122436495 NOVFEBSep2025DecJan2026AprJulSep202636furnace repair13AC repairGrid points in the top three, out of 49. You are not renting a position on one keyword, and you are not relying on old rankings to hold. The pointing helps. The structure is what compounds.

The one we cannot show you a before for

Of the 1,138 searches that surfaced the profile between April and August, "mini split" accounted for 374 on its own. Add "mini split ac" at 170 and "mini split heat and air" at 89 and it is 633, more than half. Neither furnace repair nor AC repair appears in the top five. The mini split page exists because the build covers every service the business actually offers.

Search grid for ductless mini split installation on 14 September 2026 showing first place markers across the eastern two thirds of the grid
Ductless mini split installation, 14 Sep 2026. First place at the majority of measured points.

By the time the search data made it obvious this term mattered and it was added to the grid, the business was already dominant. The first measurement, on 6 April 2026, reads 43 of 49 points in the top three at an average position of 1.6. There is no before, because measurement started after it had already happened.

So this is not presented as a result we can prove we caused. The two segments on this page that we can prove, furnace and air conditioning, both have a baseline recorded before the work started. That is the standard. When a number does not meet it, it gets labeled rather than dressed up.

    How this was measured

Most ranking reports show one number taken from one location, usually the shop's own address. That number is close to meaningless for a company that drives to its customers. A furnace company in Broken Arrow can sit at position one from its own parking lot and be invisible eight miles west in Jenks.

This report uses a search grid instead. Forty nine points across the Tulsa metro at two mile spacing. A real Google search runs from each point and the position is recorded. The grid has run every week for a year. Screenshots are unedited and taken at identical map position and zoom, so the only thing changing between them is the coverage.
